The Toyota Prius has held a reputation of being an undesirable, slow, albeit sensible commuter car for many years however; in 2023 the Prius got a major upgrade including a new flashier design and a significant jump in power and with the new prime the Prius is now a desirable option not just for the penny pinchers. With its roughly 40 miles of electric range along with its gas engine as a backup you can forget range anxiety. The new prime provides a great in-between for those thinking about transitioning to electric but either don’t feel comfortable making the full commitment or don’t want to have to deal with stopping to charge on a road trip. The new prime provides a good balance of luxury features including a heated steering wheel, heated seats, available 12.3 inch center screen and glass roof. The ride is somewhat firm but not uncomfortable and the overall noise on the highway isn’t too shabby either. In summary, The new Prius Prime is an excellent option for those looking for an electric car experience but want the safety net of a gas engine.
